Blackjack Secrets of Millionaire Blackjack Pro Don Johnson 04.04.2012

Blackjack News

Don Johnson didn’t start out as a professional blackjack player. In fact, he started playing blackjack 15 years ago with a single hand of $25 and as the years passed he gained greater experience and was able to afford to play bigger hands. He is just a regular guy from Philadelphia and is the CEO of a software company.

From December of 2010 until April of 2011, Johnson won a heart-stopping $15 million from three Atlantic City casinos and was dubbed the “Atlantic City Assassin”. He won $4.23 million from Caesar’s Atlantic City and almost $5 million from the Borgata. During a 12 hour session at the Tropicana Johnson banked a whopping 5.8 million while playing $100,000 hands.

When Johnson decided to play big he negotiated some rules with the casinos which definitely helped things go his way and lower the house odds. One of the rules was that the casino agreed to reimburse him for 20% of his losses as long as they reached at least $500,000. Johnson believes that the casino manager who agreed to this and some other game rules for Johnson had accidentally missed calculated some numbers. He was subsequently fired.

Some have suspected and even accused Johnson of counting cards which he denies. He says he simply followed two important rules. The first was to know the game well, to memorize the Basic Blackjack Strategy Chart and to know some blackjack math. The second rule he played by was to know that he didn’t always have to win because if the dealer lost he still got paid the same as if he had won.

To date, Johnson is the only person who single handedly put a casino, the Tropicana, in the red for an entire month. Even though he has since been banned from some casinos others are bringing him in to host some tournaments as he is now a blackjack history maker.
