Harrah Casino Indoor Pool Blackjack Games 06.11.2011

The indoor pool at Harrah Casino and Resort in Atlantic City provides visitors with loads of fun and excitement. They can swim and play water polo, laze around on water floats and every Saturday night the pool is transformed into one of the best nightclubs in town.

As if all of that was enough excitement to be had at an indoor pool, now Harrah decided to start offering blackjack games at the pool essentially making the pool also double as a casino. This makes Harrah the first casino in Atlantic City to allow gambling in non-casino areas.

Initially Harrah is planning on launching their pool blackjack with a single table that will offer the game only on Saturday nights but with an option to expand to six tables if they see there is demand to play pool blackjack on more tables and on different nights of the week.

Katie Dougherty, a representative of Caesars Entertainment Inc. that owns Harrah Casino and Resort, confirmed that “Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers was already scheduled to appear at the pool to celebrate his 24th birthday and he will make the first bet.”

All the casinos in Atlantic City have been pushing hard to expand gambling beyond their casino floors. This is due to less and less people visiting the casino to gamble. Big casino resorts in both Atlantic City and Las Vegas are seeing more family-oriented tourists that come for the many attractions the resorts offer but never actually play at the casino.

Expanding gambling areas will help boost gambling revenue and ensure that these big casino resorts are able to continue to provide families, couples, business people and anyone else the quality entertainment they always provided.

The Tropicana Casino is also planning on expanding its gambling areas and it seems that the trend will continue, especially when Atlantic City casinos face harsh competition from online casinos.
